Overview
"Cutting Through tells the story of Miracle Blade, a Divine Sword that helps Hiro, the hero of the world, to save Pessa the Princess from the clutches of the evil Browser."
"Cutting Through" is a 2D puzzle game in which you have to cut the elements of the various levels in order to create a path and reach the end.
The goal of the game is to save the princess, using the power of the magic sword to cut the elements of the game both horizontally and vertically, avoiding enemies, cutting only on one side or even cutting in a precise order.
But be careful what you cut, if you don’t follow the right order you could block the road... or you could drop a stone on your head.
The game has a parodic narrative, mocking the clichés of past video games. In fact, the characters are stereotypical archetypes.

Level design
I tried to create simple levels that still required some reasoning to complete them. I taught the player the mechanics, I made sure he learned them, and then I tested him on more difficult levels.
